There are many varieties of this shrub, including decidu- ous, evergreen and semi-evergreen forms. Dig planting hole at least 3 times as wide and 1½ times as deep 2. Mix pre-moistened peat moss and ordinary good topsoil at a 1:1 ratio 3. Expose one inch of root ends by spraying the ball with a forceful stream of water 4. Place plant quickly in the hole. In heavy clay soils, the root ball must be elevated at least one half above the original soil level with planting mix mounded around it 5. Apply a 2” layer of mulch 6.
