Baptisia is easy to grow and thrives with little maintenance. It is versatile in the landscape as meadow plantings, as a backdrop in borders, or as a specimen. Plants are long-lived once estab- lished. In fall, the seed pods turn charcoal black and make an interesting addition to fall bouquets.
