A native to the U.S., the Oakleaf type is dramatic with it's multiple seasons of interest. Large white spring flowers, large oakleaf - type leaves in summer, and pretty red fall color add to the beauty of this plant group. Unlike the mophead, these prefer drier roots and will not tolerate "wet feet". They can also tolerate more sun then the mopheads. Oakleaf types normally do not need any trimming. If you do need to trim, follow the rules in place for the mophead group. Zones 5 - 9 j p % Gatsby Moon ™ A distinctive, showy take on the typical Oakleaf Hydrangea.
